Yes, Gail's is a chain and this sight for sore eyes in Clapham Old Town is number 27 in their empire, but it's so much more than just a bakery chain. Visit Gail's in Clapham and you can expect a wonderfully serene experience, with the gorgeous aroma of freshly baked goods, breakfast simmering on the stove being expertly prepared in the open kitchen, and really good coffee (I mean, really good). Worth getting out of bed early for, I'd recommend popping down for breakfast at the weekend. What could be more perfect than a coffee and freshly prepared mushroom ragu? But then again there's their cinnamon buns and blueberry pancakes... It's all just so yummy! I've heard their hot crossed buns are the best you'll ever taste. Are you drooling yet?!

Dining at The Summerhouse takes you away to the Med; with whitewash, baby blue stripes and waterside location, you instantly feel like you're on holiday. But The Summerhouse is much more than just a pretty face; they specialise in delicious fresh fish dishes. The lobster, popcorn shrimp with sweet chilli sauce, and calamari are all winners, and fellow guests were quick to snap up the catch of the day. Before the evening was out our next visit was already booked and confirmed with friends. Can't wait!

This incredibly popular eatery on Elizabeth St. is one of those places that makes you want to move in next door, call it your local, visit each morning for take-out, and linger all weekend long over their mouth-watering menu. Egg Shop's genius boils down to simple ingredients, brought together by some very talented people - both in the kitchen and behind the bar. Egg Shop's white washed wood panelling and mint green infusion makes it impossible to miss - perky and uplifting, passers by gaze in longingly. You simply must visit! (again and again...).

Bread and butter, bacon and eggs, peanut butter and jam, chicken and waffles - it just works! My order is always the Sweet Chick Bucket (and then a few nibbles from whatever Mikey orders!). I can't get enough of the juicy chicken, and the sweet waffles makes for the most mouth-watering combo. I've not visited for brunch yet but their menu looks delicious!
